Case
Study: Promotional
CD-ROM Development Project
|
The
Task
|
The Department
of Labor was preparing for a nation-wide launch of their new America's Learning
eXchange (ALX) web site and wanted to create a promotional CD-ROM as part
of their launch strategy.
|
The
Client
|
The U.S. Department
of Labor, America's Learning eXchange (ALX) is a national online college
course catalog resource for students and people interested in continuing
education.
|
The
Situation
|
ALX
needed help with the promotional campaign strategy for their new web site
launch. They knew they needed to get a lot of information out to educational
institutions, students and workforce/guidance counselors. They also wanted
to include tools for converting course offering data into a format acceptable
for upload into the ALX database.
|
The
Action
|
Working with
content developers, we created the CD-ROM, its content, and tools and managed
the CD-ROMs development and production.
|
The
Results
|
| The resulting
CD-ROM was used to successfully launch the promotional campaign for the
national ALX web site. Many partners, institutions, students, workforce
counselors, etc. requested and were given copies of the CD-ROM. |
